GOSHIN JITSU

Goshin -- meaning-- protection of the body
Jitsu -- meaning soft/yeilding technique

Utilizing throws, joint locks, submissions, strikes and kicks. Goshin Jitsu has proven to be a very effective form of self defence. Not only in combat sports but in real life applications as well. The techniques taught in Goshin Jitsu originate from a variety of differant martial arts from which the simplest and most effective techniques were taken. Combined, these skills continued to evolve
producing a comprehensive and effective unarmed martial arts program.

At the most basic level Goshin Jitsu teaches the skills required to survive a confrontation, to recognize a potential risk and deal with it with confidence. Goshin Jitsu will teach you to maximize your chances of survival and minimize your chances of getting hurt or worse.

The mental and physical conditioning you will experience combined with the technical development can be applied to sport karate or MMA competitions, or to just help one reach their own personal goals.

At Dokan Karate Black Belt Academy the blend of Goshin Jitsu, Kobudo and Shorinji-ryu karate create a very well rounded martial artist!
